Running HP-Compaq-dc7800 - Intel® Core™2 Duo CPU E6550 2.33GHz × 2 2GB RAM. I can post syslogs etc if that will help anyone to assist me but maybe there's something that's glaringly obvious to you that's not to me that doesn't require reading lines of log reports. However, when I opened a few tabs in Google Chrome (researching why date format in the Calendar utility can't be changed) the system crashed again. Then tried opening photos in full screen again and didn't experience freezing again. Increased the Swap partition from 2GB to 5.8GB. ![]() Ran GParted off the installation USB flash drive. I did some Google 'research' and hit upon the idea of increasing the swap file size. ![]() Then later it happened to me when just viewing photos in full screen. Then I noticed it seemed to happen when my son was watching a full screen Youtube video. It first happened after trying to wake it up from a suspend operation. This is the first day I've had it running and I've had to restart the computer about 8 times thus far. My latest experience is somewhat different. I tried Ubuntu about 6 or 7 years ago on a machine I later sold and thought it was great. Thought I'd try a clean install of Ubuntu first. Tossed up whether to replace my Vista based system with Windows 10. ![]()
